Moving on

After months of neglect, I am moving on...

I blog now at thegwpatriot.blogspot.com, which is the blog for GWs conservative magazine

there you will get about the same opinions I used to have back in the day, minus the stream of conscience emo-blurbs.

it's been great, and maybe I'll be back sometime if I have something I Really need to get off my chest.

Conglomerate

A few lessons:

  • It's worth it to wait five hours in a line...even if your team gets beat by 30
  • Don't shut people out
  • Don't go outside in a Northern Winter sans gloves

I don't think people I went to high school with got me- people here get me. I love being understood, but at the same I loved being mysterious.

I still have a bad habit of getting sad at night.

I also have a bad habit of abandoning blogs ( I abandoned the GW Patriot blog too), I promise my most loyal reader (billy) that I will try hard to update more, ( I have sad that in my past two blogs...see how I actually follow through)

Defense wins basketball games...horrendous rebounding does not.

I'm taking another crack at "Gravity's Rainbow"... I will finish it this time.

I hope people still read this

Haven't we heard this before?

don't get me wrong..I support the President. That doesn't mean I refrain from critiquing him- quite the contrary, I support him by saying he needs improvement in certain places- he hasn't seemed to fix them yet,but hey- he isn't John Kerry (disaster....).

I heard tonight's speech before, several times in fact. Bush doesn't like to deviate from message- which isn't bad- but it makes for generic, often predictable speeches. He remained steadfast in the fight in Iraq and against Terrorism- even throwing in some big words towards Iran- which was greatly enjoyed. He made a desire to balance the Budget, Cut taxes, and reduce the deficit in short order (the three are not mutually exclusive).

but I've heard this all before--tel me something new...oh OK tax cuts for Health care... heard it.....Progress in Afghanistan....heard it.......Bipartisanship.....heard it, though this time I think he meant it......"Madame Speaker"...wait-haven't heard that before!

on a humorous note: Cheney looked bored out of his mind... I think he was playing solitaire on his blackberry...and Ted Kennedy looked passed out- again...someone let him get alot of the Johnny Walker bottle and let him pre-game...bad idea.

hopefully next year Bush will saying that will piss someone off.
